Biography
Sophie Jugé was born in the South East of England, with Dual Nationality. She speaks English and French fluently as well as speaking very good Spanish.
She started dancing at the age of 3 developing her love for ballet at the Susan Robinson School of Ballet. She explored her interest in music studying the Violin reaching ABRSM Grade 8 and studying the Piano - LRSM Performance Diploma.
Completing her GCSEs at Farnborough Hill Convent, Sophie completed a 3 year Musical Theatre Diploma course at Elmhurst Ballet School on a full scholarship whilst teaching herself 3 A levels including Pure Maths and Stats!
This is where she discovered her passion for singing taught by Principal Stella Skitch using the Bel Canto method. She graduated from Elmhurst with a Singing Award and a desire to develop her voice further so she continued her vocal training at The London School of Musical Theatre gaining a strong knowledge of the Estill Vocal Technique.
Following graduation, Sophie enjoyed several musical theatre roles based in the West End and regionally however she had an overwhelming urge to put her academic skills to the test and somehow found herself climbing the Corporate ladder culminating in an exciting 5 years spent at Microsoft UK as a Large Enterprise Account Manager and finally as a .NET Evangelist! By this time Sophie had far exceeded her corporate ambitions and longed to live a more creative life incorporating all of her passions and she now understood how this could be achieved.
Today, Sophie's life is never dull! She provides Vocal and Piano coaching to adults and children, Musical Director for the Danesfield Singing Group, a professional accompanist with tv credits, and of course pursues her love for performing!
Sophie is very pleased to be represented by Lowy Hamilton for all of her professional performing engagements.
