intermission - stills & short film
|
It was an honour creating this powerful image with
Joe Giacomet depicting the state of the Live Arts Industry during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Live music, theatre, comedy, dance and performance arts have been abandoned. This unwelcome intermission has brought the arts to its knees. No-one chose the virus. The people, their passion and their livelihoods have been hit hard. Often poorly paid and devalued, they have been left to slowly melt away For so many, the arts funded essential items. Told essential stories, championed essential human expression. Not for money, but for love. Support the arts. Director / DOP: Joe Giacomet
Starring: Sophie Jugé Editor: Matthew Pricket Stylist: Sabina Piccini Food Stylist: Laurie Perry Makeup Artist: Sherrie Warwick Set Build: Juan Tudela Grade: Alexander Nerzic @ TAG Collective Arts |

dorian - new musical
A New Rock Musical gives Oscar Wilde's classic story an edgy, modern twist.
Dorian, the secret child of love and death, is suddenly thrust into a confusing world. Joe Evans' score sears through the action, propelled by influences from Bowie to Brecht.
A WORLD PREMIERE.

KING LEAR - film
Director Billy Lumby’s gripping four-minute recreation of King Lear Act II, Scene 4 takes place in a care home, bringing new resonance to the story and language. The protagonist, played by Phil Davis, begins lost and confused, but grows embittered and angry as he starts to distrust his daughters, and as such, the film becomes increasingly intense and disorientating.
