Piano, Singing and Voice Tuition
Piano Lessons
Sophie has been providing piano and singing lessons to all ages from the age of 5 - adult for the past 7 years. She offers pupils the opportunity to take ABRSM music exams (Grade 1-8) and she is also able to prepare candidates for Theory exams. Not everyone enjoys the exam approach so lessons can be very flexible developing musical taste and ability in many styles including contemporary, jazz, musical theatre and classical. Students are also provided with the opportunity to perform at least once a year in a semi-professional theatre show.
Singing Lessons
For Professional Singers
Sophie assists musical theatre performers and actors to brush up on their audition material or update their material if needed - in the capacity of a repetiteur or as a vocal coach.
For Beginners
If you would rather not learn to sing on your own, then it is possible to join one of Sophie's group classes currently available to children from the age of 8-16 (only a maximum of 8 children per class) and to adults (maximum of 4 adults per class). These lessons include vocal warm-ups, breathing technique, harmony work and solos. The song styles are tailored to the dynamics of each class and cover a variety of styles.
Voice Lessons
Sophie's voice lessons are intended for presenters, teachers or public speakers focusing primarily on breathing technique and voice projection.
All lessons are provided in a lovely environment with piano lessons on a Yamaha C3 Grand Piano and a warm up/practise room is also available. Sophie also runs a recording studio for those interested in producing a professional album or simply creating a track as a present for loved ones.
